A PhD scholar Shaik Shavali from School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST) at University of Hyderabad (UoH) has won the Best Poster Award (http://www.nanotoday-conference.com/poster-information.html) for his presentation entitled ‘Graphene Oxide Assisted Reduction of Metal Precursors to form Graphene/Metal Oxide Composite and their application in energy storage’ at the prestigious 4th Nano Today conference (http://www.nanotoday-conference.com/) held during December 6-10, 2015 in Dubai, UAE. His travel to Dubai was partly supported by DST and partly by UPE-II.
This is the 3rd such international best poster award he secured during his PhD studies. He will be submitting his PhD (Nano Science and Technology) thesis next week. His supervisor is VVSS Srikanth, faculty in SEST.
Organised by Elsevier, the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, and the journal Nano Today, the 4th Nano Today Conference (Nano Today 2015) seeks to bring together researchers interested in nanoscience and nanotechnology. This international conference presented the latest research at the multidisciplinary frontier of nanostructured materials and devices.
